The image—created at an old, disused factory in East Berlin—tells a story of urban rebellion, artistic expression, and spatial tension. It tells of transformation—how spaces change, how people assert themselves within them. History and the present, nature and culture, order and chaos collide. Large, striking, and painted in contrasting colors, “OFF” is a deliberate statement. It stands for rejection—against conventions, against systems, against expectations. But perhaps it is also a call to switch off, to break out of the familiar. The graffiti points to a place where people express themselves, become visible, without official permission—raw, direct, honest.
